Plan Ahead for a Healthy Baby

Every year, thousands of babies are born in the Silicon Valley. The health of their mother before their conception has much to do with their future health.

Over his career of nearly 25 years as an obstetrician and gynecologist, Camino Medical Group's (CMG) Hector Medina, M.D., has helped deliver more than 4,500 babies. Here's his advice on creating a healthy pregnancy and baby:

Lyme disease is a big disease caused by a tiny tick. An infected tick can attach itself to your skin and cause you to get sick within days, or sometimes months, after you are bitten. If the disease is not recognized early, it can cause serious problems to the nervous system years later. The good news is that Lyme disease can be prevented.
