Sunnyvale Supporters Sought
Proposed Sunnyvale Center The Palo Alto Medical Foundation (formerly known as Camino Medical Group) has provided excellent, personal health care in Sunnyvale for more than 50 years. After more than five decades, it is time to update the facilities on Old San Francisco Road to better meet the health care needs of our patients and to ensure that we are able to serve the community for many decades to come. The new Sunnyvale medical center will be comparable to our Mountain View Center in design and ambiance and will include a full range of primary and specialty care, a cancer treatment center and vision care.

In the coming months, we will present our construction proposal to the Sunnyvale Planning Commission and City Council. If you are interested in advocating on behalf of this new medical center, please send your contact information to Cynthia Greaves, PAMF Public Affairs, via e-mail at greavec@pamf.org or mail to 2350 W. El Camino Real, Mountain View, CA 94040. More information about the proposed Sunnyvale Center is available online at www.caminomedical.org/sv.

Alcohol Abuse and Dependence

Alcohol abuse means having unhealthy or dangerous drinking habits, such as drinking every day or drinking too much at a time. Alcohol abuse can harm your relationships, cause you to miss work, and lead you to break the law when driving while drunk (intoxicated).

When you abuse alcohol, you continue to drink even though you know your drinking is causing problems. If you continue to abuse alcohol, it can lead to alcohol dependence. Alcohol dependence is also called alcoholism. Click here to learn more.
