Advanced Radiation Therapy
Stereotactic Radiosurgery & Radiotherapy

California Pacific Medical Center now offers one of the newest techniques for treating brain tumors, stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy. Stereotactic treatments deliver precise finely collimated beams of radiation to tumors and can be an alternative to, or used in conjunction with open surgery. Both single fraction radiosurgery and multiple-fraction radiotherapy treatments are intended to improve a patient’s quality of life and decrease treatment related complications, by minimizing radiation dose to surrounding normal tissues. Lymphedema Therapy
An important therapy component for cancer patients

Lymphedema is a swelling of an area in the body resulting from an accumulation of lymph fluid. In cancer patients, lymphedema usually results from surgery involving removal of or damage to the lymph nodes. This can frequently involve patients who have had surgery for breast, uterine, or prostate cancer. Lymphedema therapy can manage the fluid accumulation by reducing swelling and reducing the risk of infection. California Pacific offers a Lymphedema Education & Resource Group a free monthly meeting facilitated by Nurse Practitioner, certified lymphedema specialist, and exercise trainer. Each meeting includes an educational presentation, practical techniques for understanding and managing lymphedema and an opportunity for your questions to be answered. Call (415) 600-6281 for more information. Read more.
