The Genesys Heart Institute has taken another giant leap forward
to ensure the community continues to receive the best heart care
possible. The Paul J. “Rocky” Roll Cardiac Rapid Diagnostic Center (CRDC) is equipped with a team of highly specialized physicians,nurses and clinicians who care exclusively for patients entering the Genesys Emergency department with chest pain or other cardiac conditions that require immediate attention.
“As the area’s #1 heart care provider and a center of excellence in cardiac services, Genesys will continue to lead the way in offering our community the best heart treatments and latest technology available,” reports Norma Hagenow, president and CEO of Genesys.
The CRDC is an expansion of the Genesys Regional Medical
Center - Health Park Emergency department. It includes an
11-bed unit containing a cardiac diagnostic testing area.
Patients can remain in this area for all of their testing while
under the continuous monitoring of cardiac-trained clinicians
and physicians.
The Genesys Health Foundation, through a capital campaign, was
able to raise the $2 million needed to open the CRDC. Rocky Roll
kicked off the campaign with a donation of $1 million.
