We do not need to look far these days to hear another story about the epidemic of obesity in this country. Newspaper headlines, magazine covers, news programs and even movies, are now documenting the fact that our country is getting fatter. It is, therefore, no coincidence that the prevalence of obesity is also on the rise in our children. In fact, obesity is considered to be one of the most dangerous health problems facing children today. Roy Lin, M.D. received his M.D. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1995 after graduating with honors from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is board certified in pediatrics and speaks medical Spanish. Dr. Lin is currently accepting new patients at the Fremont Center.

Alison H. Nguyen, M.D. received her M.D. degree from the University of California, San Diego in 1999 after graduating with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed an internship and residency in family practice at San Jose Medical Center. She is board certified in family practice and speaks medical Spanish and Vietnamese. Dr. Nguyen is currently accepting new patients at the Redwood Shores Health Center.
