Dyslexia: When Your Child Has Trouble Reading

Reading is something many of us take for granted, but learning to read is a formidable task for children with dyslexia. Dyslexia is a common learning disability affecting one in five children that can impact a child's entire educational experience. Teen Skin Care Class
PAMF's Mountain View Center is hosting a workshop to help both boys and girls develop a skin care routine that leads to a lifetime of healthy skin. The discussion will cover acne, shaving, sun protection and makeup. The instructor will allow time for questions and make product recommendations. The event takes place Saturday, February 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is open to the public. Cost is $20 per person. Momma Zen: Finding Peace and Patience in the Everyday
On Saturday, March 7, PAMF and other community agencies and organizations will host a Symposium for Mothers at Stanford University. This year's symposium, titled "Momma Zen: Finding Peace and Patience in the Everyday," is designed to create a special experience in which mothers can explore and share the challenges and joys of motherhood. Karen Maezen Miller, author of Momma Zen: Walking the Crooked Path of Motherhood, will give the keynote address. The symposium will include breakfast and a fair showcasing the event's sponsors. American Heart Month: February

Each year, cardiovascular diseases claim the lives of nearly half a million women in the United States. During American Heart Month, the American Heart Association focuses on women and challenges them to take action against their leading killer and stop heart disease. Dr. Suskiewicz joined the Department of Internal Medicine at the Los Altos Center in May 2008. She received her M.D. degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1998.
