Banner Puts Race Funds To Good Use

When someone runs in the Komen Phoenix Race for the Cure, every dollar raised means one step forward in the fight to prevent and treat breast cancer.
In fact, 75 percent of the money raised in the annual race stays in Arizona to help with community outreach programs. This year’s race is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 12 in downtown Phoenix.

Slone, 46, a nurse at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, underwent surgery, radiation and chemotherapy in 2007.
